A Powerful Combination of Certifications

A portfolio of certifications

Twice a year, the PMCE offers what can only be described as the ultimate in Project Management training. This course is intended for graduate and advance undergraduate students entering their final year of study in management, research and development or the physical / applied sciences (engineering, computer science, physics, chemistry, biology, oceanography, and so forth) who wish to develop their skills and become professionally certified in project management. Individuals outside of academia may also participate upon approval. The topics will range from project creation, budgeting and planning to the application of PRINCE2® as a standardised, best practice methodology.

The course runs fulltime, 7 days a week for four consecutive weeks. Successful candidates graduate from the programme with 3 professional certifications: PRINCE2 Foundation, PRINCE2 Practitioner and PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner exams. This programme is run in a simulated project environment in cooperation with global industry partners. Comprehensive syllabi are available upon request.

“The trainers are real professionals with years of hands-on project experience, which really helped me understand the theory in a real life context. I couldn't have wished for a better preparation for my PRINCE2 exam, which I passed without a problem. Now being PRINCE2 certified, I cannot wait to work on my next project.”

Course syllabus

The first week will consist of 40 hours of interactive learning including lectures, seminars and case study work focused on learning the PRINCE2® methodology and passing the Foundation and Practitioner level exams.

The second week will consist of 2 days focused on understanding and applying PRINCE2 AGILE® and the sitting of the PRINCE2 AGILE® Practitioner exam. This includes interactive discussions and preparations for applying the materials to the simulated project.

The simulation will focus on delivering a technical solution for one of our industry partners including a visit to their facilities and a presentation by their senior management. The balance of week two and the entirety of week will be dedicated to running and completing the project simulation.

Throughout the programme, participants will work in small groups and will be presented with a full range of common project management issues. A typical weekday will start at 09:00 with a review of previously covered materials and an outline of the goals for the day. A one-and-a-half-hour lunch break will generally happen around 12:30 and the day will rap up around 17:30 with an overview of the next days activities. Individuals are always welcome to request one-on-one sessions with our project management experts. These sessions will be conducted after regular programme hours. All sessions will be held on the Masaryk University campus located at 41a Lipová, Brno, the Czech Republic.

The two Sundays falling between the arrival and departure dates have been reserved for cultural activities including a city tour of Brno and a tour of a local brewery. All costs associated with these activities are included in the programme fees.
